Jennifer L. Koontz

Jennifer Koontz joined the firm following her graduation from law school to dedicate her practice exclusively to family law. Ms. Koontz is devoted to researching complex family law issues, including those related to asset valuation and division, child custody, and support matters, while crafting and implementing creative legal solutions to solve sophisticated issues. She also has extensive experience drafting Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements, and litigation experience regarding the validity and enforceability of these Agreements.

Ms. Koontz graduated from Duke University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a double-major in Cultural Anthropology. Ms. Koontz obtained her Law Degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2021 and was admitted to practice in California that same year. While attending Loyola, Ms. Koontz was the Family Law Society events co-chair, and a participant in the Youth Justice Education Clinic, where she worked to provide legal services to both special needs and incarcerated children throughout Southern California. Ms. Koontz also externed for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and served as a research assistant for the Loyola Center for Juvenile Law and Policy.

Ms. Koontz has extensive experience in mediation, conducting discovery, motion practice, communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and sophisticated legal research. Ms. Koontz is also a member of the State Bar of California.
